The article reports on the opening of the first hotel of Best Western International Inc. in Port-au Prince, Haiti in April 2013. It states that the 109 room Best Western Premier was a milestone for both the country of Haiti and the locally Handal family, who the owned the property where the hotel sits on. It indicates that Best Western International allowed Handal family to add many features to the property as long as it meets the requirements for the Premier designation.
