ABSTRACT
The article offers information on the film "A Journey" (Matka), directed by Pirjo Hokkanen and starring Risto Taivainen. The film received awards at several film festivals such as Finnish State Film Award in 1983, and international film festivals in 1983. Director Hokkanen was born in Keuruu, Central Finland in 1948 and graduated at the University of Arts and Design in Helsinki. Film production staff includes Reijo Meronen, Tapani Lundgren, and Raimo Paananen.
