ABSTRACT
The article deals with modernization of the socio-economic management on the level of the Russian Federation's constituent entity. The undertaken research recounts the way the government priori-ties of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic socioeco-nomic development changed under the pressure of the political processes in dynamics starting in 1990-s. The author also describes current modern-ization processes in the Republic.
