ABSTRACT
The article emphasizes theoretic and practical aspects of the bank deposit insurance development in the Russian Federation. It considers ways of making the bank system more reliable in the customers' eyes and strengthening stability of the bank insurance institutions. The author discusses specific features of the current deposit insurance system, its weak points and development trends.
