ABSTRACT
The article provides an overview regarding employment of nursing staff and the residential aged care in Australia. It offers new average wages data based on an analysis of aged care agreements and new data on agreement coverage in the non public residential aged care sector. Also, it presents a range of wage information concerning aged care in each state and territory, along with a comparison between aged care collective agreement rates and public sector rates of pay where applicable.
