ABSTRACT
The article highlights the role of nongovernment organizations (NGO) in the building of quality international education. In Uganda, the mission of the Kasiisi Project is to conserve the Kibale National Park via programs that promote scholastic achievements, good health and care for the environment. The NGO aims to tackle dropout rates and low school attendance records, to provide a quality education and raise academic standards. A range of interventions are planned by the Kasiisi Project to address the challenges including building of classrooms, latrines and libraries, funding teacher training, computers, teaching supplies, posting of primary scholarships for students, and training scholarships for teachers. The NGO aims to tackle differences in attitudes and promote information sharing.
