ABSTRACT
The article provides an overview of the housing design guideline by the New South Wales-owned land development corporation Landcom. It outlines Landcom's 12 key design features including direct access, wide front door, main facilities on the ground floor, and space in the bedroom. It suggests quantifying the cost of including the 12 key features, citing a study which shows that the modifications to home designs could be made at a cost of 1-2% of the original construction cost.
