The article offers tips for progressive optometrists in prescribing toric contact lenses (CL) as a vision correction option for astigmatism. It claims that toric lenses provide sharper, crisper vision and are available for most prescription from low to high astigmats in both silicone hydrogel materials. It notes that consumer polls reveal a large underserved astigmatic population. It adds that today's toric CL designs yield consistent clear vision and that their cost is no longer prohibitive.
