ABSTRACT
The author discusses the importance of reading articles in journals and magazines for teacher's development and training. He states that reading these articles raises teachers awareness on wider issues of English Language Training, informs practice and help them to remain professional. He also describes the teacher development programme at the University of Sheffield in Great Britain and offers advice for setting a similar programme.
