ABSTRACT
INSIDE LLEWYN DAVIS THERE'S no success like failure, Bob Dylan sang, back in the day, and failure is no success at all. The Coen Brothers' lovely new film is a study in failure, set in the Greenwich Village folk music scene of the early Sixties from which Dylan emerged to transform popular music. This movie, though, is about a would-be artist going nowhere.
