ABSTRACT
CAVIAR is a well-travelled treat. The delicacy, called black gold, is harvested from the sturgeon of the waters around Iraq and Russia. Now, however, a British supplier has successfully farmed caviar for the first time. Last week, it received its first official tasting at newly opened London restaurant Bird Of Smithfield, set up by the Ivy's former head chef.
