WHAT are we, caught in some sort of 40-year cosmic loop? Last Friday was the 40th anniversary of the start of the Watergate hearings in the US Senate. Just to remind, it was the hearings and not the Washington Post reporters - forget the old Robert Redford-Dustin Hoffman film - that brought about the resignation of President Richard Nixon.
