ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the plan of recycling company Waste Connections Inc. to operate some of its landfills as a master limited partnership (MLP), which could shield the company from corporate taxes. Waste Connections' possible entry into an MLP structure comes after the company acquired oil and gas exploration and production wastes firm R360 Environmental Solutions Inc. in 2012. The financial performance of Waste Connections in 2012 is also reported, including its revenue and net income.
