ABSTRACT
AS UK Independence Party leader Nigel Farage was trapped in an Edinburgh pub last Thursday by a baying crowd of protesters, his aides tried desperately to get him a taxi. But it seemed no taxi driver dared risk the wrath of the Radical Independence mob, who seemed opposed to independence for anywhere in the UK other than Scotland. One taxi did stop but, as the Left-wing protesters screamed at Mr Farage, inviting him to 'go home to England', the driver made the UKIP leader disembark - then returned half an hour later with an item left on the back seat. Dog imagines every fare now having to listen to the story: 'I had that Nigel Farage's briefcase in my cab the other day...'
