ABSTRACT
EDIBLE GARDEN Rhubarb couldn't be easier to grow. Buy one-year-old crowns and plant them in free-draining soil in partial shade. Establish for a year before harvesting the stalks and composting the leaves, which are poisonous. 'Timperley Early' is delicious, while 'Ace of Hearts' is suitable for smaller gardens.
