8 Pres. Bashar Assad's largest ally sent advanced anti-ship missiles to Syria, according to U.S. officials, but Russia hasn't confirmed the claim. The delivery could spur Congress to take a more powerful stand vs. Assad. The U.S. and Russia have agreed to a conference about the civil war but haven't set a date. France said it wouldn't attend if Iran is invited.
