ABSTRACT
The article reports that BAE Systems Inc. has tested its combat-proven Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System (APKWS) laser-guided rocket. The APKWS has been launched from a helicopter over water and to disable multiple maritime targets through its guided 2.75-inch rocket system with semi-active laser guidance technology. The U.S Navy intends to integrate the laser-guided rocket system onto the Sikorsky UTX MH-60R/S naval helicopters and other Navy and Marine Corps aircraft.
