ABSTRACT
The article reports on the assessment of the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) on how many civilians need to take weeks of unpaid leave due to sequestration. According to DoD spokesman George Little, Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel will voluntarily forego 14 days of his pay to show solidarity to those workers who need to to take unpaid furlough days. It adds that Hagel will join Deputy Defense Secretary Ashton Carter in deducting his pay in line with the furlough reductions.
