The article profiles professional services firm McGladrey. The accounting firm was founded in 1926 by Ira McGladrey in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. It sold its non-attest units in 1999 to H&R Block, becoming RSM McGladrey. The attest functions decided to reacquire the non-attest units, eventually merging under the common industry model. The firm achieved a 1.2 billion dollar revenue in 2012. Its first tier of client industries include consumer goods, industrial products, and manufacturing.
