The article discusses the revocable transfer on death deed which is a new means of transferring ownership of real estate upon a transferor's death which became effective in Nebraska January 1, 2013. It explains how the deed works and clarifies that it is not a replacement to other types of transfer. Also discussed in this article are the procedure involved, effect during lifetime of transferor, and the specific provisions of Nebraska.
