ABSTRACT
The article reports on the allegations that Vijay Singla, the nephew of India's Railway Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal, demanded a bribe from Railway Board member Mahesh Kumar for the posting of electrical member. Singla was handpicked by Bansal to assist him in running the Railways. According to railway officials, Singla is allowed to sit through important meetings in Bansal's office.
