ABSTRACT
This article focuses on the historic election held in Pakistan in May 2013, a move that shows the country's democratic transition. The country has formed an independent Election Commission which led the free and fair elections. But despite these developments, the threat of violence and terrorism still exists. An example is the election campaign of the Pakistan Peoples Party which was affected by security threats.
