ABSTRACT
The article discusses a systematic review and meta-analysis by M. Roque and colleagues on whether follicular flushing during oocyte retrieval (OR) improves the outcome of assisted reproductive technology (ART). The study involves the gathering of information from MEDLINE and EMBASE databases , the clinical trials registered until March 2012, and the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials. It reveals the lack of benefits of routine follicular flushing during OR in some group of patients.
