ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the study conducted by Abbas Kiani-Esfahani and colleagues which applies dihydrorhodamine 123 (DHR123) to assess the reactive oxygen species (ROS) in human spermatozoa. The study uses flow cytometry and dichlorodihydrofluorescein diacetate (DCFH-DA) staining to measure the fluorescence intensity and percentage of R123 and DCF positive sperm. Results show that DHR123 can be regarded as a suitable tool in determining oxidants from human spermatozoa.
