ABSTRACT
THE economy may be up but so too are London rents. As we report today, average rents are at a record high of £1,100 a month, after rising at nearly double the national rate during April. Rents in the capital are now 7.6 per cent higher than last year; nationally the rate is 3.9 per cent. Plainly, wages are rising by far less.
