ABSTRACT
DURING the Leveson inquiry, the Bureau of Investigative Journalism called for a levy on the media to fund organisations such as itself, which it said produced 'gold standard' journalism. The BIJ - established in 2010 and funded by a £2million grant from Psion computer millionaire and Labour donor David Potter and his David and Elaine Potter Foundation - is based at City University, London.
