October 2012
American Ceramic Society Bulletin;Oct/Nov2012, Vol. 91 Issue 8, p40
The article explores the history of The Indian Ceramic Society, which started as a concept in 1921 as documented in the letters of Sardar Krishan Singh. However, the society saw initial difficulties in generating "critical mass" but with the support of its forefathers, it was able to hold its three-day inaugural meeting on April 15, 1928. The Society formed the Indian Institute of Ceramics in 1975 to address the lack of trained and certified ceramic personnel.
