The article focuses on the 40th anniversary of the Nordisk Kuntmedalje Serie (Nordic Art Medal Series) and the annual publication of medals highlighting Greenland, Iceland, the Faroes, Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Finland. Danish painter, sculptor, writer, publisher and entrepreneur Anders Nyborg initiated the series of art medal publishing, which was started during the Finnish Independence Day on December 6, 1972. An overview of the medals included in these series is provided.
