ABSTRACT
People unconsciously edit what others say, a Univ. of Oregon study found, so that it makes sense despite grammar and construction problems. In tests, subjects who were deliberately distracted ID'd grammar mistakes others made less often than when not distracted. But measuring brain responses indicated the person's brain still picked up the errors. The study has implications for learning methods.
