ABSTRACT
The article provides an overview of some of the current major developments in training with emphasis on excellent and free online tools that any leader of volunteers can learn to use to facilitate volunteer learning. It cites social learning as a frequently used learning terms where volunteers naturally take part in even if they do not specifically recognise it as such. It offers ideas for ensuring that learning occurs through social media that includes Twitter, online networks and blogs.
