ABSTRACT
This article analyzes the negotiation process on the Cyprus problem of the last quarter of the XX century. The Cyprus conflict - is the struggle of the two communities - the Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots. The Numerous attempts to resolve the Cyprus crisis, which began in the 70-ies of the XX century were unsuccessful. Among the states that are involved in the conflict are Greece, Turkey, United Kingdom, Russia, the USA and international organizations - the United Nations, the European Union, etc. The paper presents arguments that explain why it is impossible to resolve the conflict in Cyprus. Purpose - is to find the factors, that prevent the conflict resolution on the Cyprus. Methodology. The Author used the following methodology: comparative-historical method, the case study method. Results: The conflict resolution on Cyprus, that is not achieved, first of all due to ineffective activity of the international organizations, depends on the political and economic factors. Practical implications. The results of the work shall become the property of the scientific community and the wide range of persons.
