ABSTRACT
The article reports the increase in sales of convenience store industry in 2012 in the U.S. and states that the industry had record sales of 700.3 billion U.S. dollars in 2012, including in-store sales and motor fuel sales. It states that the sales figure was announced in the State of the Industry Summit of the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS). It also discusses pretax profits of the industry and also expands on differences in sales and profits of retailers during the year.
