ABSTRACT
The article presents information on a study to test the VideoDoc telemonitoring units from J&B Medical Supply Co. with 30-40 patients treated for heart failure at Saint John Providence Hospital in Southfield, Michigan and how the units work with traditional heart failure therapy to reduce readmissions. Shukri David, Doctor of Medicine (M.D.), chief of cardiology for Saint John, said he hopes to cut in half the 25 percent heart failure readmission rates and save millions of dollars.
