ABSTRACT
The article offers information on the effects of breastfeeding on adult depression by estrogen receptor gene polymorphism. It mentions that those who had not been breastfed had higher risk of depression than T-allele carriers while those who had been breastfed show no such genotypic differences. It also mentions that the development of child's adult depression may occur due to the interaction of child's genes and maternal behavior.
