ABSTRACT
The article presents the author's insights on the shortage of personnel in mortuary profession. The author mentions the market research by National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA) which reveals that consumers are seeking communicator, counselor, event planner, and crisis manager instead of funeral directors. She adds that the tasks given to new graduates to work 24/7 are deterring those students who are aspiring to be funeral directors.
