ABSTRACT
The features of reheating furnaces scheduling problem between continuous casting and hot rolling are analyzed. The mathematical model of reheating furnaces scheduling to minimize the time of slabs waiting for reheating are constructed. The simulation model of reheating furnaces using eM-Plant was established, according to logical order setting caster, slab yard reheating furnaces and hot rolling. In this model, information object is used to store production data, controlling object is used to accomplish slab going into or going out of furnaces. The model was optimized using the algorithm based on its internal GA module. Finally, 50, 80, 130, slabs were simulated. The simulation results show that the model and algorithm can effectively optimize the scheduling of reheating furnaces and the total waiting time is reduce by 12.7%, 15.5% and 10.2% respectively. Furthermore, the scheduling optimization is effective and feasible to be operated.
