ABSTRACT
The author presents an argument for establishment of Royal College of Teaching to help in setting standards for teaching across the U.K. He argues that with constant government interference teaching standards in the country have fluctuated and this has resulted in drop in quality of education. The author says that with constant government policy changes the education sector has suffered. He calls for an establishment of an autonomous charter to maintain educational standards.
