ABSTRACT
MERCEDES-BENZ E300 BLUETEC HYBRID Engine: 2.1 diesel/electric hybrid 2143cc 100bhp Acceleration (0-100kph): 7.5 secs Top speed: 241kph Transmission: Seven-speed automatic Fuel consumption (litres per 100km): 4.1 (combined) CO2 emissions: 109g (Tax Band A3, €190pa) Dimensions: 4879mm (L); 2071mm (W); 1507mm (H) Entry-level price: €57,535 Model driven: €57,930 (with optional extras) Another week, another hybrid. Last Sunday, I told you about the Toyota Yaris HSD, a small hybrid generating emissions of just 79 grams per kilometre. That's a stellar performance but eclipsed by this hybrid offering from Mercedes. The E-Class weighs 1.85 tonnes, give or take a few kilograms, but it pumps out just 109 grams of CO2 per kilometre; that really shouldn't be possible.
