NOW that he's been forced to apologise for the unforgivable gaffe of being honest about the possible effects of the new insolvency rules, Transport Minister Leo Varadkar has learned a valuable lesson about our real attitude to straight-talking politicians: not only can we not handle the truth, we will drag out the ducking stool for any public representative who is foolish enough to confront us with it.
