A new way to ID food

A new way to ID food ingredients has been developed at Johannes Gutenberg Univ., which may help allergy sufferers. Researchers adapted DNA sequencing used to find genetic factors in people to ID animal, plant and microbial substances in foods. They say digital counting may also tell the amount of each ingredient.
