ABSTRACT
The article presents information on quilter Randy Bear. According to Bear, he wanted to make the quilt that had a picture on it so his cousin gave him an eagle pattern. Bear adds that whatever you do in your life is represented by seven of the star's points and the eighth point is for the eagle. The star pattern represents the morning star, an important element in traditional Sioux culture.
