ABSTRACT
OSCAR PISTORIUS could run at the World Athletics Championships in Moscow in August despite being accused of murdering his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp. But UK Athletics chairman Ed Warner last night said it was 'very unlikely' Pistorius would be invited to take part in the London Anniversary Games at the end of July. However, one man who is likely to compete in London is triple gold medal winner Usain Bolt, who is said to have agreed to take part in two events. A South African court yesterday lifted the travel restrictions of Pistorius' bail terms, allowing him to compete abroad to 'earn an income'. Pistorius' agent, Peet van Zyl, said: 'The World Championships will be on the radar, if he is up for it and qualifies'. Pistorius, 26, who denies murdering Miss Steenkamp at his home on Valentine's Day, is due in court again on June 4. His uncle, Arnold, last night told Sky News: 'Oscar's got no intention to travel overseas now. He needs his family.'
