ABSTRACT
JOE KERNAN has stated that he won't be sending an SOS to retired ace Oisín McConville. Kernan, who returned for a second spell as Crossmaglen manager this week, insists the six-time All-Ireland club winner 'owes us nothing' and should be allowed to enjoy his retirement. McConville (above) called it quits after the All-Ireland semi-final defeat to St Brigid's last month and despite having so much success under Kernan for Cross and for Armagh, the duo won't be linking up together this year. 'I won't be asking him back because he was tempted out this last number of years,' confirmed Kernan.
