High court cuts cable lawsuit

The Supreme Court, in a 5-4 ruling, tossed a class-action lawsuit against Comcast Corp. ([STOCK[CMCSA]]), which plaintiffs said had unfairly raised prices in the greater-Philadelphia market where it dominated. An opinion by Justice Antonin Scalia said subscribers in 16 counties with varying competitive conditions hadn't shown that damages could be measured on a classwide basis.
