The author offers information on electronic health records (EHR) system and choices to make while investing in EHR systems. He explains the difference between cloud-based software and local server. He advises on specialty-based customization and template features for EHRs. He also advises to consider the service and support cost that come with EHRs including customer service, ongoing training for new hires, and software updates.
