ABSTRACT
ENGLAND coach Andy Flower last night insisted Alastair Cook will become a better captain for the humbling experience of playing second fiddle to New Zealand and his opposite number Brendon McCullum for much of a chastening Test series. When the dust settled on a thrilling end to a largely forgettable 0-0 stalemate, England were faced with the harsh reality that they were out-batted, out-bowled and out-thought by a team ranked eighth in the world.
