RYDER FIGHTS FOR LIFE TROUBLED former New Zealand batsman Jesse Ryder was in critical condition in a Christchurch hospital last night after he was assaulted outside a fast food outlet. The 28-year-old had been due to fly out to join his IPL franchise Delhi Daredevils this week but instead his family were rushing to his bedside. Ryder is believed to have suffered a fractured skull in the attack.
