ABSTRACT
BESIEGED world cycling chief Pat McQuaid has yet to confirm whether he will attend a Cycling Ireland board meeting on April 12 at which the seven board members will decide whether or not to nominate the Dubliner for a third term as UCI president. McQuaid batted away vociferous demands for his resignation after Lance Armstrong's exposure as a serial cheat, but there is reportedly a feeling among some of the CI board that they should not endorse his candidature to manage the global clean-up of a stricken sport.
