ABSTRACT
The article presents information on the 2012 Census of Agriculture in the U.S. Officials from the Department of Agriculture (USDA) say while the response has been good so far, a number of farmers and ranchers have not yet responded to the census call. USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack says information from the Census of Agriculture helps the agency monitor trends and better understand the needs in agriculture.
