Qualidade de vida e saúde: em foco o Programa Saúde da Família

The Family Health Strategy (FHS) prioritizes actions that potentially can increase the Quality of Life. This study aimed at evaluating the quality of life of residents of a territory ascribed to the FHS in comparison to family's health at risk. This is a quantitative research with case study design, which used WHOQOL-bref instrument. 230 people who attended the FHS in a district of São Paulo participated in this study. The results showed that 49.1% of respondents considered their Quality of Life as "good." It was concluded that the concept of Quality of Life is related to their health condition and disease and that the investment in caring-related inequalities that can contribute to improve quality of life.
